Canvey Club Visit

Saturday June 13th

From 10.30am

The invite goes out to all those who wish to come along and enjoy a good days running at the Canvey Railway and Model Engineering Club.

The club boasts both a large 5" & 7 1\4" gauge ground level track and a large 3 1\2"& 5" gauge raised track. Both tracks will be available for use by visitors.

Visiting engines and stock are welcome (valid boiler certs for steamies please).

It is our intention to bring a Trojan, Hercules and a Japser which will be available for anyone to test drive. Club driving trolleys are available for use.

We would recommend bringing a packed luch as nearest facilities are quite a distance away.

Directions

Take the A130 to Canvey Island. At the first roundabout on the island go straight over and take the B1014 - stay in the right lane (you will see the trackand full sized signal on your right). Turn right at the traffic lights and into the Waterside Farm Sports Centre.

Just in side the car park there is a barrier on the right. Pull up here and come and get the key from the club house.

If you are intending to come by public transport please let us know in advance and we can arrange for you to be collected from Benfleet station.

We will be guests of the club and will need to follow the club rules which are posted on the wall in the club hut. While there is no charge for the day any donations to the club funds will be gratefully accepted.
