The latch counter in the signal box clock 693 trains between 10am and 5pm.

One new addition to the fleet this
year was a water wagon. Built up on one of our old
unsprung chassis, it provided a steady supply of water
tot he line. Does watering the rail help - Yes with out a doubt. Derailments and rail noise are reduced big time. |

Two days before - we lifted a section
of the track for maintenance. This part of track had been
down for 10 years. It was laid on roofing felt which was
breaking down. It was also pretty worn on the outer rail
so we turned the rail.. The trench was deepend and lined with terram before sieving the ballast and replacing the track. |
