Right - Simon Pavitt's Polly II. A credit to Simon's hard work and attention to detail.

I built my Polly part secondhand and part new from Winson Engineering. When I had problems Winson were extremly helpful and forwarded parts without any problem.

I finally met Andy at the Wembly exhibition and was greeted by a helpful, keen and approachable person. This is a person who enjoys his work and will go out of his way to help you. If you are going to spend a large sum of money on an engine you want to feel that you are not only just buying a kit, but also buying a service. I don't think you will be dissappointed.

Very impressed by the engine which his 12 year old daughter is currently building which was on display at Wembley. Yes you did read correctly 12yr old.

Polly I With Ride on Railway Rolling stock

If like me you do not have a lathe but like the idea of running a steam engine then I would recommend a Polly loco. The main appeal to me is the availability of spare parts. The only modification I have made is to fit a piece of 1" angle iron to the front of the chassis (see above picture). This protects the drain cocks should you derail. I have since been informed by Andy that this is one of the many optional kits available to fit to your Polly.
