What Work Is Involved ?
  • Assemble the wheel sets and mount the motors
  • Mounting bogies to chassis
  • *Assemble and fit coupling rod sets
  • Mount the control board
  • Wiring
  • Painting
   

Items you will need and may have to purchase

  • 6mm flexible wire, spade connectors and connector blocks

  • Control board and controller

  • Batteries

  • 1mm drill bits for keying in gears

  • 4 mm tap and 3.3mm drill (cranked version)

  • 5 mm tap and 4.2mm drill

  • Thread Loc - oil tolerant preferable

  • 8 mm spanner

  • Filler and paint

How hard is it to build?

 

Hardest bits? - Paul's list of difficult items

  1. Drilling and tapping the cranks and crank pins - Pay extra and we will supply the crank set finished off
  2. Drilling, tapping and fixing the nylon gears
  3. Fitting metal gear to motor
  4. Painting - getting paint right is probably the hardest bit.
