Harrogate 2004 |

A warm welcome to all those new to Ride on Railways we we met at Harrogate.
For all those who didn't make it to Harrogate here are a few picture of our stand

Yes a Hercules driving a loaded train up a 1 in 10. OK its little Clark on this one but for three days it went up and down this ramp with either myself or David pulled behind it. Shouldn't say my weight but one gentleman not convinced had ago and he said he weighed 18 stone.

The idea for the 1 in 10 ramp came after a potential customer asked me how steep our engines could go. After setting up a 1 in 10 ramp in steel rail we found a Trojan could pull me from a standing start and a Hercules pull my dad and I from a standing start. Unfortunately steel angle doesn't provide the same conditions but never the less it did open a few eyes.

LEFT Clark providing behind the scenes help. RIGHT This year we took a few items with the intention to bring people into the stand. Surprisingly we only sold one painted speed sign and that was reduced price because it was damaged. |

We were also represented on the club scene with Master T Lampitt's Trojan.
