I would highly recommend a trip to Bredgar & Wormshill Light Railway. Although they run only a few days a year it is one of the best presented set ups I have seen. It is a far cry from bad reputation some railways give to the tourist industry of ash paths and dirty engines.

Everything is clean and well presented. If they do have piles of rotting junk, it is kept well out of sight.

A potential model which I have now done some drawings.

Not the initial influence for the Trojan saddle tank, but it shows that narrow gauge mimics standard gauge. This 0-6-0 has a very high axle load and is restricted from use on many lines

One of the joys of this set up is having your lunch in the field where the line runs through. There were more trains an hour running past than the average mainline has.
