If buying
secondhand it is often buyer beware. If a steam engine
does not have a boiler certificate treat it as a failed
boiler. Steam engines are expensive items and there are
many pitfalls. For the safest option either buy new or
from a reputable dealer.

| If you are
new to the hobby and want a steam engine, I cannot
recommend this company high enough. The Polly is a bolt
together kit. Should you need spares/replacement parts or
help with construction, you can't really get much better
than this. You very
rarely see unfinshed Polly Kits for sale - I think that
says it all.
