  • In the first example you can see that on our line we cannot remove the risk of close objects. By following the other two recommendations (make people aware and limit speed) we hope that the risk has been reduced.

  • Do not worry too much about assessing the risk. It is subjective and will vary from person to person. The important part is to assess the risks and put procedures in place or take actions to reduce/eliminate it.
  • Monitor and Review - no good having procedures no one follows.

GOOD COMMON SENSE - It doesn't exist - Once you have acknowledged this you will be ready to start assessing the risks and put procedures / control measures in place.
