Hercules Section 15 Testing Your Engine

Once again check that the control board is wired the correct way and the battery leads cannot be put on incorrectly. Failure to do so could be costly at the next stage.
Keep all fingers and clothes away from moving parts while testing. This is especially important with cranks due to their scissor action.
Re check that the motor gears are meshing properly with the nylon gears + motor bolts are tight.
Lightly oil the nylon gears, axles (and axle boxes on crank version) with a thin oil.
With the chassis on blocks, to keep the wheels off the ground connect the batteries.
Ensure the control knob is turned fully anti clockwise before pressing the deadmans button.
