Chassis Details

We are able to offer two types of kiddy coach

3 Seater Coach

This 3 seater coach is the ultimate in design for keeping the centre of gravity low. We recommend that this coach should be articulated with a standard coach to improve stability. The articulation and weight of a stable adult help hold the coach on the line, even when you have children that can't sit still.

Since making our kiddy coach set articulated, we have not seen a derailment in use on our portable track when public hauling. Previously you spent the day asking children not to lean and sit still.

For electric engines we can run a lead through the coach which will allow the driver to sit behind the coach. This allows for better supervision of younger passengers. Purple coach is shown with additional end handles and centre seat back.

2 Seater Coach

This body is designed to fit on a standard RoR chassis. It was designed for the younger passenger who may have trouble sitting astride a standard coach.

Available as a complete package or as a separate body.

As with all our bogie coaches it comes complete with steel chassis, couplings, timber running boards and sprung bogies.

Hand painted to a choice of colours

Comes complete with standard coupling at both ends. Buffers can be fitted as an optional extra.

We would recommend that this body type is only used with an articulated set to help increase stability.
