This is a scale model of a GWR bench.

The bench ends are cut from 8mm steel with 6 no. lugs welded on to allow for the coach bolts. The use of 8mm steel adds rigidity and weight to help stabilise the bench. It also increases the cost.

Due to high manufacturing cost benches are made to order only.
