OPEN DAY
Saturday
September 16th 2006
- RoR openday.
Once again we are
throwing open our garden railway to one and all.
If you are
thinking of purchasing any of our locos use this day as an
opportunity to come along and have a test drive.
After our May openday this one should be a bit
quieter so more time for some serious running.
Polly Rally, Sheffield - 9th
September
If you are around the Sheffield area well worth
seeing Pollys in action. Sorry I won't be there as I am booked in
for a weekend in Blackpool.

MOTORS
After taking on Ride on Railways as a more full
time job (actually 3 days a week but soon to be 5) we have hit a
major stumbling block. Back in May I ordered 40 motors which I am
still waiting for. Fasco are rated as one of the top quality
motor manufacturers and having sold over 250 without one failure
I don't think I should look at an alternative source just yet.
Sorry to all those who are waiting for engines
but this problem has really brought us major problems. As of 5th
September there is a possibility of RoR being allocated 20 motors
of a small batch being air freighted over. Provisionally this
should be in 10 days time.
4 Wheel Riding Trucks
We have just sold the last of the first batch
of our new 4 wheel coal wagon riding truck. If you are in a hurry
for one PNP Railways has a few on the shelf ready for immediate
dispatch + they have the advantage of credit card facilities. I
am working of the next batch of 10 but it will take at least a
month before any are ready for dispatch.
Price for the finished braked truck complete
with riding cushion and running board is £350.
Garden Rail
Sorry for the late notice but if you can get to
see a copy of August 06 I had a 4 page article published about
our garden railway. I am hoping follow it up with a couple of
other articles aimed at trying to temp a few large scale
modellers to try an even larger scale.
