Table Top Railway
In
2025 the club embarked on building a table top railway for gauge 1 and
G scale trains. Both use the same track gauge of 45mm but G scale is a
larger scale usually using 16mm to the foot where gauge 1 usues 10mm to
the foot.
The railway represents a huge investment in finances and labour but the decision was made to use the best materials to save on the requirement for future maintenance.

Currently there are three loops of track
Inner loop - Gauge 1 Tenmille - no points
Inner middle - gauge 1 Tenmille - two points to form loop
Outer - G scale - Mixture of various manufactures including Peco, LGB and Arristowcraft. Includes 6 points to form two passing loops.
Deck is composite deckingboard.
