Once again check that the control board
is wired the correct way and the battery leads cannot be
put on incorrectly. Failure to do so could be costly at
the next stage.
Keep all fingers and clothes away from
moving parts while testing. This is especially important
with cranks due to their scissor action.
Re
check that the motor gears are meshing properly
with the nylon gears + motor bolts are tight.
Lightly
oil the nylon gears, axles (and axle boxes on
crank version) with a thin oil.
With
the chassis on blocks, to keep the wheels off the
ground connect the batteries.
Ensure
the control knob is turned fully anti clockwise
before pressing the deadmans button.
Slowly
put power to the motors. If the two wheel sets
are not moving in the same direction swap
over one set of motor wires in the connecting
block for that bogie.
If
the wheels in one bogie are turning in a
different direction to the other then reverse the
connectors from that bogie, on the control board.
Turning the bogie 180° does not work.
Listen to the wheels
turning to make sure they are not rubbing on anything. Keep
fingers away from moving parts and switch off you controller
before working the gears.
Before
taking your engine on to the track see the
"running your engine
section".
